I’m watching American Idol this week. Yesterday they showed at least 3 people who collapsed while waiting to perform. The stress was overwhelming to their bodies, so they shut down. Even for those who didn’t collapse, the stress of being judged affected their performances too. Can the Emotional Freedom Technique calm them down?
Of course! EFT works wonderfully for performance issues. Stress from performing in front of people, feeling judged, not feeling good enough, fearing failure, fearing success; all of these are tappable issues.
Using EFT would only take a few minutes to complete, but a performer’s body would have the chance to de-stress and relax. Full breaths could be taken. More concentration on vocal quality. More control of the sound. A dramatically improved performance. The difference between staying and being voted off.
So performers listen up! Use a round of EFT before heading out to the stage. And if you need help, give me a call!
